Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lovelace application and services ("Service"), operated by Posada.io ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Lovelace. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We verify age using zero-knowledge proof technology — you prove you are over 18 without revealing your birthdate.

2. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and backup key.
• You may not create multiple accounts or use another person's account.
• A Cardano wallet is automatically generated for your account. You are responsible for safeguarding your backup key — we cannot recover it.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Upload content that is illegal, obscene, defamatory, or infringes intellectual property rights
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Attempt to circumvent security measures, exploit vulnerabilities, or interfere with the Service
• Solicit money, promote commercial products, or engage in spam
• Create fake profiles or misrepresent your identity, age, or intentions

4. Content & Intellectual Property

• You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, bio, messages).
• By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display it within the Service for its intended purpose (e.g., showing your profile to potential matches).
• We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice.
• The Lovelace name, logo, and application design are the property of Posada.io.

5. LILY Token & Rewards

• LILY is a utility token on the Cardano blockchain used within the Lovelace ecosystem.
• Rewards are earned through in-app activities and are subject to availability from the reward pool.
• LILY tokens have no guaranteed monetary value outside the Lovelace platform.
• We reserve the right to modify reward amounts, eligibility criteria, and token mechanics.
• Abuse of the rewards system (including creating fake accounts for referrals) will result in account termination and forfeiture of tokens.

6. Memberships & Payments

• Certain features require a paid membership.
• Payments are processed by third-party providers. We do not store your payment card details.
• Membership fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
• We may change pricing with reasonable notice.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Blockchain & Decentralization

• Certain actions (token transfers, rewards) are recorded on the Cardano blockchain and are permanent and irreversible.
• We are not responsible for losses caused by blockchain network issues, failed transactions, or user error (e.g., sending tokens to a wrong address).
• Smart contract interactions carry inherent risks. You acknowledge and accept these risks.

9. Safety & Moderation

• We employ anti-scam and moderation systems but cannot guarantee the identity or intentions of other users.
• You are responsible for your own safety when meeting people from the app.
• Report suspicious behaviour via in-app reporting tools or by emailing support@posada.io.

10. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time via app settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms.
• Upon termination, your profile data will be removed from active databases. Data on the blockchain cannot be removed.
• Tester license keys are non-transferable and linked to your account.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee:

• That the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• The accuracy or reliability of any content or matches
• The value, liquidity, or future availability of LILY tokens

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Posada.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, tokens, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the jurisdiction in which Posada.io is established. For users in Brazil, the provisions of the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (CDC) and LGPD apply where mandatory.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
